"So much in g-point almanac: id est (9.22-12.21) is ventured; so much here is profound. Kevin Varrone meets, dares, slips past what is assumed to be reality; language, volant, 'fails, too,' leaving us with 'what's beyond the said thing.' His poetry shivers with hairline fractures, the same as the cities he describes, with familiarities folded into oddnesses. Over and over, he moves us to spaces where we find ourselves surprised that we are so moved. 'How to put it all in,' he asks, 'the hollow earth, three cities, one sheet of paper?' But he does"--Marcella Durand. Varrone is co-founder of Beautiful Swimmer Press. He teaches at Temple University and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. This is his first full-length collection.

"Paul Siegell's the most original poet – in sound and sight – to break into print so far this millennium. Siegell owns a megaphone in the contest to be voice of a generation." —Charles McNair, author of Land O' Goshen and Book Editor at Paste Magazine. His book POEMERGENCY ROOM is fresh out from OTOLITHS Press, and you can also find Paul on his blog http://paulsiegell.blogspot.com/

American Music by Chris Martin whirls readers and speaker alike in the froth of postmodern America, where the constant barrage of stimuli merges into a loud reverberating hum of confusion, and "America roils". This is a book of poems that project; everything is moving within a broad and ranging array of allusions. The reader isn't crushed by the dystopic world's dispassion, and Martin isn't agitated to dispondent complacency. His tone may be terse at times but it is never bitter, and he is always astonished that we are, any of us, here at all.
